The Most Venerable Dhammathero Khon Sao
Born on April 17, 1934 in O village, Chikreng district, Siem Reap province, Kingdom of Cambodia.
Departed Cambodia to Thailand prior to communists take power in 1974.
Resettled in the United States of America in 1985 through the sponsors
of Samdech Maha Ghosananda and Mr. Peter Pond.
Educations:
Dhammavinaya – Philosophy and Law in Buddhism for 3 years (Tri, Toa & Ek).
Pali School – High School Diploma, Eung Thuang High School, Battambang province, Cambodia.
Baccalaurate, Sihanouk Royal University, year attend?, Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
Secular School – Completed 7 th grade in public school and decided to enter
a Buddhist monkhood.
Attends technical and vocational school while in monkhood for 2 years, year.
Buddhist Ordination:
Ordained as novice Buddhist monk at age 14 in 1948, Pray Prah Buddhist Monastery.
Ordain as Bikkhu [Buddhist Monk] at age 20 and remains as Buddhist monk through the present.
